Co-authors of Twin Cities by Trolley: The Streetcar Era in Minneapolis and St. Paul

Authors John Diers and Aaron Isaacs worked together to create Twin Cities by Trolley (University of Minnesota Press, 2007), an expertly-written and lavishly-illustrated book detailing the history of early mass transit in Minneapolis and St. Paul from the 1880s to the 1950s. The book contains more than 400 photographs and 70 maps.

The Twin City Rapid Transit Company (TCRT) shops were located at the southeast corner of Snelling and University and were a major landmark and employer in the Hamline Midway neighborhood.
